Announcements for the week of November 2- November 8

The Flowers on the Altar are given to the Greater Glory of God and in thanksgiving for their anniversary by Michael and Margaret Pinnau.
The undesignated offering this morning goes to the Rector’s Discretionary Fund for pious & charitable uses. Please be generous.

The Parish Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Monday evening, November 2nd at 7:00 pm Remember to put your list of remembrance names for the Mass in the alms basin. You will find an insert in this bulletin for your use. You may also call the office (817-560-7187) until noon on Monday, November 2nd, and give Leslie your list of names.

This Tuesday, the Clergy of the Diocese will be meeting in the parish hall beginning at 9:30 am until noon.

The Basic Christianity Class and the EYC continue on Wednesday evenings, beginning with Evening Prayer at 6:45 pm

Diocesan Convention meets this Friday and Saturday at the Church of Saint Peter & Saint Paul in Arlington. Please keep this meeting in your prayers.

When getting coffee in the parish hall, or soft drinks out of the fridge, please remember to “feed the Kitty.” We need to be sure that we cover our costs.

Congratulations to the Upward family on the birth of Olivia Lynn to Noah and Amber Upward. Mom & baby are doing fine.

Bishop Iker will be with us next Sunday for his annual visitation. There will be one service that day at 9:30 am. The Sacrament of Confirmation will be administered at that service and the Parish Picnic will follow! Come dressed casually, the parish will provide the hamburgers, hot dogs and condiments - You will need to bring lawn chairs, side dishes and desserts. Obviously, we will watch the weather, so Plan B is picnic in the Parish Hall.

The Blessing of the Beasts, Saturday, October 3rd at 10 am! Since St. Francis’ Day falls on Sunday this year we will do the annual blessing of the beasts on Saturday. Bring your beasts (suitably restrained) to the Garth this Saturday morning.

Father Cantrell will be on vacation September 6th through September 13th. He will then be at the Annual Provincial Synod of the Society of the Holy Cross (SSC) September 14th through September 18th. Father Zeke Rogers will supply for him for the next two Sundays.

Pam Hedges will lead Morning Prayer this Tuesday at 9:00 am. There will be a healing Mass on Wednesday morning at 10:00 am.

EYC meets this Wednesday at 7:00 following Evening Prayer at 6:45 pm.

Choir rehearsal will resume today (9:30 - 9:45) September 13th. The first anthem will be presented Sunday, September 20th.

Please don’t forget to pray and fast if you are able again this Wednesday, September 16th as the hearing is to reconvene at 2 pm on our Rule 12 motion.
